Will my insurance cover TMS or Spravato?

Do I have to stop my current medications?
Not necessarily. TMS is compatible with most psychiatric medications. Spravato is typically used alongside an oral antidepressant. Your psychiatrist will review your regimen during evaluation and let you know if any adjustments are needed.
How do I know if I qualify?
The clearest signal is having tried at least two antidepressants without adequate improvement — or stopping due to side effects you couldn't tolerate. The best way to know is a consultation. Our psychiatrist will review your history and give you a direct, honest answer.
Is TMS available for my teenager?
Yes. Wellity is one of a limited number of California providers offering TMS for adolescents ages 13 and up. Sessions take 20–30 minutes with no systemic side effects — teens return to school immediately after each one. Spravato is for adults 18+ only.
What's the difference between TMS and Spravato?
TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate mood-regulating brain circuits — non-invasive, no medication, no recovery time. Spravato is an esketamine nasal spray that acts on different receptors than antidepressants, often with faster onset. Your psychiatrist recommends based on your history and goals.
What happens after I finish treatment?
We coordinate your transition to ongoing care — continuing psychiatry and therapy at Wellity, stepping down to a less intensive program, or returning to your existing providers with a full clinical summary. You don't get discharged into a gap.
I'm already seeing a therapist elsewhere. Can I still come to Wellity for TMS or Spravato?
Absolutely. We can deliver TMS or Spravato as a specialized service while you continue care with your existing team. We'll communicate with your providers throughout treatment and send a complete clinical report when your course is complete.
